1. Luận án bổ sung thông tin mới, cơ bản về đặc điểm sinh học và lâm học loài cây Sến trung trong quần xã rừng tự nhiên, rừng trồng làm cơ sở đề xuất các giải pháp quản lý bảo tồn, phục hồi và phát triển loài tại tỉnh Thừa Thiên Huế.
2. Luận án đã chọn lọc được 50 cây trội, đánh giá được các mô hình rừng trồng và đề xuất hướng dẫn kỹ thuật gây trồng loài cây Sến trung tại tỉnh Thừa Thiên Huế.

New contributions of the thesis:
1. The thesis added new and basic information related biological and dendrological characteristics of Sến trung (Homalium ceylanicum (Gardner) Benth) under the contexts of plant comumnities of natural forest and planted forest, which provides additionally basic information for recommending management solutions for conservation, restoration, and development of this tree species in Thua Thien Hue province.
2. The thesis also selected 50 dominant trees, evaluated various models of planted forests and proposed technical guideline for plantation of Sến trung (Homalium ceylanicum (Gardner) Benth) species in Thua Thien Hue province.
